In Memory of Steven Soren

Steven J. Soren, an accomplished real estate and commercial litigation attorney, founded Soren Law Group with his wife of 22 years, Karen B. Soren, in 1998. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 1986 from Columbia College, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity (Fiji); a master’s degree in 1988 in real estate development from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and a Juris Doctor degree in 1996 from California Western School of Law.

Steven was a junior ranked tennis player in his youth, was an avid golfer and skier who vacationed frequently with his family in Vermont. He also served as a trustee of the Staten Island Children’s Museum and was a member of the Richmond County Country Club. Steven was a longtime resident of Staten Island and truly enjoyed serving the public of where he resided with his wife, Karen.  

Above all else, Steven was a devoted husband and father. He found tremendous joy in watching his sons, James and William, pursue their passions for jazz and baseball, interests that became treasured family traditions. Since Steven’s passing in 2018, Karen has proudly continued his legacy through the continued success of Soren Law Group.
